The BluePrint Engines Small Block Chevy 383 C.I. 436 HP Long Block Crate Engine is a high-performance powerplant designed to deliver robust horsepower and torque for automotive enthusiasts seeking enhanced engine output. CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Featuring a high-strength cast iron block fashioned and machined in the USA, this engine integrates hypereutectic pistons and a cast crankshaft with a 3.750-inch stroke paired with durable 5.700-inch connecting rods. BluePrint Engines aluminum cylinder heads with raised ports and precision CNC machining provide improved airflow. The engine comes equipped with a hydraulic roller cam, high-volume oil pump, and essential accessories such as valve covers, a timing cover, oil pan, and dipstick, all finished with a professional quality appearance.
INSTALLATION. This long block engine is designed for straightforward installation with no requirement for drilling or extensive modifications, making it suitable for professional installers and experienced enthusiasts alike. Its compatibility with typical small block Chevy mounting points allows for a more direct replacement or upgrade.
WARRANTY. The engine comes with an industry-leading 30-month or 50,000-mile warranty covering parts and labor, providing peace of mind for buyers.
APPLICATION. This engine fits customizable Small Block Chevy applications featuring a true 4-inch bore and 3.75-inch stroke. It is not compatible with EGR systems and is optimized for use with 91+ octane fuel to achieve rated performance.
